TIA Tax Protest Reaches Gwinnett Co. Voters

Protesters say “NO” to transportation tax vote July 31

About a dozen protesters greeted Gwinnett Citizens before a packed town hall meeting Tuesday night at the Gwinnett County Courthouse. Organized by the Georgia Taxpayers Alliance, the group held signs and handed out 100s of cards and stickers in a effort to mobilize voter turn out against the July 31 transportation sales tax referendum. The tax is estimated to cost taxpayers $8.5 billion over 10 years in the 10 county Atlanta region.
