All the projects for Habersham County are intersection upgrades on Hwy. 365 except for a roundabout in Clarkesville, and that could be accomplished far more economically with a simple street light adjustment.
Just the property acquisition for the intersection improvements costs 10s of millions of dollars, and would take over 10 years to complete.
What about the widening of 105/441 near the new Wal-Mart? GDOT has had that on the table for over 20 years, and it isn’t on the TSPLOST list. Neither is anything else that would address local concerns.
I am sure whoever is selling the property for the proposed 365 intersection improvements would be pretty happy, though.
Thanks for posting. We have found that GDOT has sandbagged a number of projects pending the outcome of the vote. Be sure to tell everyone about the July 31 vote.
